Jayaargh, has completed another extensive ‘series’ project, ‘Timeless Underground Portals’ based on listed buildings on the tube network, Grade 2 and above.
The work is a return to black and white analogue photography, exploring London’s interesting and often overlooked architecture.
The previous series saw Jayaargh kayaking around every single pier in the UK, in all weather conditions, taking photographs from sea and land perspectives, from which he made Polaroid lifts from these photo images of each location. This approach connects his creative instincts to first-hand and physical experiences, exploring, in this case, man-made structures within the natural world. His unique work is borne of a personal passion, which happens outside in the fresh air.
