Paul Hiles working on his latest US commission
Paul Hiles, born in London, he studied fine art at Birmingham School of Art. His current projects involve making large-scale aerial panoramic views of urban scapes. He has exhibited his work widely, including recently, in February 2025, a one-man show at Lauderdale House, Highgate, North London. In November 2018 he set up a show of his work on the concourse inside Victoria Station. This exhibition was in conjunction with Macmillan Cancer Support, with a positive response from commuters, leading up to Christmas, waiting for trains and moving briskly to and from platforms. One of his cityscape drawings was accepted for the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Show in 2023. His drawings are meticulously executed and detailed, with a particular viewpoint to bring together important landmarks into a coherent composition. Each drawing would take months to research, prepare and execute. His careful planning would involve location work, painting, drawings and photography.
Paul takes on commissions.
His photographic prints, high quality copies of some of his original work, can be purchased via his website paulhiles.art as well as fruitsablaze.com.
